Number 5. Read 25 Books

So I've finished book #2, Gone, Baby, Gone. Notice a theme here? I saw the movie a while ago and from what I remember of it the book is quite different, I actually liked the book better than the movie. I have one more Dennis Lehane book to go then I'm going to have to find a different author. Any suggestions?

  2. Isn't that how it always is. The books are always better!

I am currently reading Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, not sure if Chelsea Handler is your cup of tea but she is hilariously and I've loved all her books.

  3. I agree with Shelby! Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea was the funniest of her 3. I have that one if you want to borrow it at any point.

I'm not totally sure what you're type of book is, but I read the following and LOVED them:

Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett (I own this one too)

In The Heart of The Sea - Nathaniel Philbrick (He also wrote Mayflower and The Last Stand)

Anything by Augusten Burroughs - Magical Thinking is my favorite

This is Where I Leave You - Jonathan Topper (it' just came out like 6 months ago and it's already been commissioned for a movie)

Southie Books: Brutal by Kevin Weeks (I'm currently reading this) All Souls, and Easter Rising by Michael MacDonald

Devil In The White City - Erik Larson

  4. I requested "This is Where I Leave You" from the library. I let you know what I think. I'll give "Pillars of the Earth" a try. Let me know when I can grab it from you. Thanks!

  7. Hm, I don't. The copy I borrowed was my uncles I think. I'll look through my book shelf and see if I have any other good ones for you!
